The Green Bottle Method
The Wellness Collaborative is a social enterprise. As such, we recognize the importance of every organization and corporation taking an anti-oppressive approach to their activities.
We have adopted the Green Bottle Method for determining sliding-scale pricing consistent with our social mission. The Green Bottle Method acknowledges that access to resources (such as professional development, career advancement, and trainings) is a social justice issue.
Thus, a sliding scale fee can be an economic justice tool. But how do you go about deciding what you can afford? It’s more complex than household income, which does not adequately consider systemic oppression. The Green Bottle Method, developed by Alexis J. Cunningfolk, attempts to address this.
